We purchased
this lot in 2007 with the intention of building a home one day to the
point of drawing up plans.
Due to the economic changes in 2008 and now with our children grown and
retirement on our doorstep, as sad as it makes us we have decided it is time to sell the property. As you can see in a few of the pictures, we have
kept a canoe on the property all these years. We have enjoyed taking
relaxing paddles around the lake and have taken advantage of the peace
and serenity the water brings us.
The property is located in West-Central Pasco County and with the new
Ridge Road Extension underway just to the south, will be less than 10
minutes to the Suncoast Parkway and within 30
minutes of Tampa International Airport. All of the cultural amenities,
sporting events, restaurants, and night life Tampa has to offer will be
even more easily accessible. To the west are some
of Florida's finest beaches and while you feel like you are miles from
traffic, you are less than 10 minutes from everything you need.
The lot measures 70' wide by 207' deep on one side and 220' deep on the
other so at 14,962 Sq. Ft. or almost 1/3 acre, the property is large
enough for a nice size home, yard and even a sandy beach. There is a
pipe that is purportedly a well since there was once a home on the
property, though we have never had the well tested.
The wildlife
in the area is enough to make any visit a great experience. Sand hill
cranes, mallards, geese, anhinga and egrets will keep a bird watcher
busy on every visit. There is a sizable sandy beach, boat ramp and designated swimming area at
Moon Lake County Park
that is on the lake just a few moments from the property either by foot, bike or
canoe. It has a playground and picnic area, as well. The lake is is
about 110 acres so you can ski, tube, jet ski and fish right in your own
backyard.
